BPA-NI interior coating

~Toward coating that are friendly to people and the environment~

Epoxy resins have been mainly used for interior coatings of food and beverage cans traditionally. Since this epoxy resin is composed by bisphenol A (BPA), a potentially endocrine disrupting substance, as a starting material, the coating contains a small amount of BPA. For this reason, TOYOCHEM, a subsidiary company of artience, has developed a new BPA-NI (Not Intent) coating that does not intentionally contain bisphenol A to alleviate people’s health and safety concerns, even at trace amounts. We named these specialized BPA-NI coating products as LIONOVA™ and are ready to provide them globally.

Overview of BPA-NI coating LIONOVA™

  • LIONOVA™ is a generic name for BPA-NI coating developed by TOYOCHEM.
  • We have two resin types of products in our lineup: acrylic emulsion and polyester.
